Hi, it is possible to change specific files only? As I got one quite well indexed shop which ranks good and wouldn't want to mess my serps up by adding/removing items, changing titles etc (as new versions handles that bit differently).
Is it possible to update specific files only?

in your case you need to update everything except 'themes' and 'data' directories.
it's possible that some errors can appear in 'cart' and 'item' pages because of some code handling changes in different se2 versions. if so, you'd better update these files too (themes/your_theme/item.tpl & cart.tpl).
any updates of these files regarding titles, descriptions, etc. can be applied to new templates too because essential inner code changes don't affect shown html code. so you'd better edit new templates to suit you old templates then leave the old ones unupdated.
